In the Engineering department of Siemens Mobility in the Czech Republic, we work closely with our colleagues abroad on the development of modern rail vehicles. We focus not only on the overall configuration of these vehicles but also on the design of individual systems and the optimization of their cross-sectional properties.

Currently, we are actively developing our outstanding technical innovation – the locomotive on the Vectron platform. There are currently more than 1500 of these locomotives in operation in Europe. As with any modern product, accurate and up-to-date documentation is a key element for Vectron. If you are interested in contributing to the maintenance, control, and overall improvement of the quality of this documentation, the position of Data Manager may be right for you.

Main responsibilities:

• Review and approval of external and internal technical documentation in the field of electrical engineering – hardware and software design (circuit diagrams, connector and terminal diagrams, junction tables)
• Checking technical data of materials (drawings, parts lists, supplier specifications)
• Testing new tools for documentation processing
• Control of processes according to applicable standards and regulations
• Collaboration in the selection of materials and components for projects
• Establishment and maintenance of master data of materials according to specifications and data sheets

Requirements:

• Secondary education (technical field, electrical engineering advantageous)
• Orientation in drawing / electrical documentation
• Knowledge of the SAP system or a similar PRM system
• Communicative English
• Knowledge of MS Office
• Precision, attention to detail
• Flexibility and willingness to travel to Germany

Extra advantage for this role is:

• Communicative German
• Knowledge of software standards (EN 50657), fire standards (EN 45545), or standards related to cables (EN 50264, 50382) is advantage
