What does your future team look like?

The whole team consists of about more than 200 people, from software and hardware developers to system architects. Our goal is to further develop and enhance communication-based train control system (CBTC), which automatically control and protect train movement in controlled area.  Based on the level of automatization our system drives and operates trains, controls doors and protect passenger exchange with or without the driver onboard. This system fulfils requirements for the highest safety integrity levels SIL 4 and given cyber security.

You will be a part of international RAMS team working on our CBTC solution. At the same time, you will become a team member of experienced RAMS managers on site who work on projects concerning mostly rail infrastructure and with whom you will share domain know-how.

 

Main responsibilities:

• Safety management process of CBTC system within small team
• Participate in the preparation of system architecture which fulfills standards EN50126-1/-2, EN50128, EN50129 and EN50159, especially creation of FTA and FMEA analysis
• Support of development team regarding functional and technical safety
• Work closely within safety team and system architects, developers, testers, project manager, …
• Creation of vital documentation required by standards – safety plan, hazard analysis, technical safety report, safety case

 

Key qualifications:

• Academic master’s degree
• Team spirit, analytical and system thinking, real focus on quality
• Availability to travel approx. 3 weeks per year
• You will speak English (most of the meetings, documentation in English)

What would we appreciate if you have extra?

• Any experience or academic degree within safety engineering or railway engineering
• Basics in German, Spanish or French language
